Responsibilities

To develop curricula and course content for a new course whose focus will be Inclusive Early Childhood Development (ECD)

The course will be targeted at frontline workers in early childhood development. The purpose of the course will be to build their skills in identifying children with disability, developing programmes to include them in ECD programmes and implementing inclusive ECD programmes within communities, especially those in Low and Middle Income Countries.

Contractual Stipulations
The Consultant will work closely with the project team to execute the following objectives:
  • Develop a curriculum with teaching guidelines for new courses on ‘Inclusive ECD’
  • Conduct a technical review and avail the content for review by other experts and develop content incorporating reviewer feedback.
  • Develop course documents, including course outline and schedule, checklists, presentations, digital products such as videos, assessment tools, assignment guidelines and rubrics, and evaluation forms.
  • Develop facilitator and participant manuals or online content
  • Pre-test the courses on a small sample of learners and ensure that it is appropriately designed and can run smoothly from start to end.
  • Train facilitators to conduct the courses
Deliverables
  • Curriculum structure and materials for the courses ‘Inclusive ECD’
  • Training of facilitators for the course
  • Final report on the development of the courses including any recommendations for their rollout
Project Duration
January 1, 2022 – March 31, 2022

Requirements

Should be an individual or organization with solid expertise in developing curricula for early childhood development with a strong background in childhood disability.
